It is truly an honor to be running for a Director position at the Realtors Association of St Lucie.

It seems like just yesterday that I made the Marketing Madness video to help promote RASL’s weekly networking program. And thus began my relationship with volunteerism and leadership!

I believe that in order to be successful – both personally and professionally – one has to have a solid foundation and value system. I feel that through the actions that I’ve taken while serving our Board have earned me the respect to receive this nomination.

Allow me to share with you a few of my values and beliefs:

I’m not afraid to get down to work to produce results. Once I’ve committed to a project I feel it’s important to see it through and work hard (or smart) to get to the end goal – hopefully exceeding expectations. I pride myself in helping RASL shine when I’m able to produce videos and commercials to promote events and services. I worked on our Communications & Tech committee to help form RASL tv – a YouTube channel – that highlights board functions and events. I’ve spent countless hours shooting and editing video to help our members and affiliates shine.

Momma always said “honesty is the best policy.” To be honest is to gain true respect. Honesty is a character trait of a real leader. Our customers expect us to be honest in our dealings and the same can be expected from the membership at RASL. Whether we’re making big decisions, creating new policy, or recruiting new members – looking out for our members best interest and taking an honest and fair approach is the only route to true victory.

Hands On

Who would want to sit back in their lofty boardroom chair and ignore our hard-working committees and events? I take the hands-on approach to leadership because I feel it will put me in-tune with the membership and what may be their current needs. I feel this is exemplified in the committees I’ve served. I don’t just help make the decisions and plan the events – I’m there! I’m taking photos or shooting video! I’m out promoting RASL’s programs to get co-workers and associates involved. I think what helped me win 2009 Rookie of the Year was the fact that I was always involved in what RASL had to offer. I was a sponge – I learned from others and really got to know my associates.

Helpful I don’t subscribe to the scarcity mentality. I believe the more I help others the more karma comes in my direction with a swift breeze behind it. I’m most known for my technological know-how and I have used this gift to help my fellow associates and RASL. I’ve taught the Realtor 101 Technology session, Tech classes at my broker’s office, and “Tech Tidbits” once a month at Marketing Madness. Being helpful is a fundamental part of what makes up a community. Whether we’re a community of Realtors, a community of St Lucie residents, or just a community of friends. Enabling others through the help of our own knowledge is the mark of a strong leader.


Happiness and optimism are two of my greatest assets! I love to smile and I love when my excitement infects others. My favorite moment of being a Realtor is when I take a photo of my happy buyers in front of their new home. I truly believe enthusiasm sets me apart from the rest. I love to learn and I discover great joy in working with others.

Over the past few years I’ve learned that the projects that make me uncomfortable and stretch my abilities are the most important to my growth. But I realize that I’ll never progress if I don’t push myself outside of my comfort zone and limits.

I will seek to implement technology to produce efficiency.

Our association is founded for our members and it’s the membership that I will serve.
