Talk about nerves of steel! Chris started looking for properties in February 2009 and finally closed on a short sale in September 2009. Initially thinking he wanted to be out near the inlet for fishing, he ended up not far inland at East Lake Village with lots of space in a 3-story townhouse.

Chris was working overseas when he went under contract for the short sale in East Lake village. Corresponding mostly via email with his mortgage lender, he was able to make the deal happen after many bumps in the road!

On vacation from his employment, Chris came back to the states, closed on the house, and decided his next project would be to put in wood flooring and take out the old carpet.

It pays to be patient because Chris was able to get a 1900 square foot home for around $52 a square foot. The house was practically move-in ready and just a few doors down from the community pool!

Congratulations, Chris, and best of luck filling up all those rooms with furniture!
